José Carlos has extensive experience in tax advice to groups of companies, with special reference to corporate and VAT taxation (individual and consolidated taxation).
He has led, planned and executed numerous corporate restructuring operations: mergers, spin-offs, contributions of assets and, in particular, exchanges of securities, mainly within the framework of succession or reorganization processes of groups of companies.
He has an in-depth knowledge of transfer pricing regulations, directing or participating in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and defending it in the event of tax inspections.
Likewise, he has extensive experience in the coordination and management of all types of tax procedures: limited checks, value checks, inspections, collection and review procedures and sanctioning procedures.
Regarding advice to family businesses, his experience has been focused on the planning of ISD, IP and ISGF (definition and monitoring of requirements for the application of family business benefits).
In international taxation matters, he has extensive experience in the handling of Double Taxation Agreements and the management of issues related to the taxation of non-residents.
Before joining Mavens, José Carlos has developed his professional career in Deloitte Legal, BDO, Grupo Empresarial Copo and Baltar Abogados y Asesores Tributarios.
